President Donald Trump said he could meet Russian President Vladimir Putin “quickly” to prepare to meet in Saudi Arabia for talks to end the war in Ukraine.

“We haven’t set a time, but it could be soon,” Trump told reporters on Sunday ahead of a meeting with Russian authorities in Saudi Arabia.

“It’ll be soon. Trump added when asked if there’s a chance that a meeting could happen this month.

After US Secretary of State Marco Rubio previously tried to ease expectations of a quick end to the conflict, Trump addressed reporters after Putin expressing his confidence that he wanted to end the war.

“They have a big, powerful machine, you understand that. They beat Hitler, defeated Napoleon. They’ve been fighting for a long time,” Trump said of the flight in Air Force 1. He later told reporters.

“They’ve done it before, but he wants to stop fighting.”

Asked if he believes Putin wants to seize all of Ukraine’s territory, Trump says he asked his Russian counterpart the same question, saying, “a big problem for us” if that was the case. He said that it will be.

Earlier on Sunday, Rubio said Putin had expressed his desire for peace in a call with Trump last week.

“Now, obviously, it needs to follow the action. So the next few weeks and days will determine whether it is serious or not,” Rubio said in an interview with CBS’s Face the Nation. Ta.

“In the end, one call won’t settle. One call won’t solve a more complicated war.”

Rubio said details of the talks, including the composition of the Russian delegation, have not been finalized.

“This morning we have no details for you other than to say we are ready to follow the president’s lead on this. If those opportunities exist, how to start the process towards peace. “We’ll begin to explore,” Rubio said. .

Trump’s outreach to Russia may be competing in Ukraine and Europe to secure a peace plan that will recognize some Ukrainian territory in most opinions from Kiev and its European allies This raised concern.

Neither Ukrainians nor European officials have participated in talks in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, but Rubio on Sunday must be involved in the “real negotiations” that both Ukraine and Europe have come from the meeting He emphasized.

In an interview with NBC’s Meet the Press, media President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which aired on Sunday, said he “will not accept” the agreement reached without his country’s involvement.

“This is a war in Ukraine against us, and that is our human loss,” Zelensky said while attending a security conference in Munich on Friday.

Attending the Munich Conference on Saturday, European Foreign Policy Director Kaja Karass elicited similarities between the Trump administration’s approach and the failure to prepare for the world world.

“I’m standing in Munich tonight, so have we been here before? Czechoslovakia, 1938,” Karas supports the annexation of Nazi Germany’s Sdetenland in exchange for a pledge of peace. He said he mentioned the Munich agreement.

“We have an invader at our door, which aims to take land that is not him, and the negotiators have already handed out negotiation tips before negotiations begin.”

European leaders are scheduled to meet in Paris on Monday for an emergency summit to discuss Ukraine’s conflict and future security.

Advance from the summit, British Prime Minister Kiel Starmer said on Sunday that he was “pleased to be ready” to send British troops to Ukraine to maintain peace in the case of deals that would end the war.

“I’m not going to lightly put that into consideration,” Starge said in OP-ED, published in the Daily Telegraph.

“I feel very deeply responsible for the potential harm to British servicemen and women.”

“However, the role that helps ensure Ukraine’s safety will help ensure the safety of our continent and the safety of this country,” Starmer said.

“The end of this war cannot be a temporary pause when it comes before Putin attacks again.”
