Virat Kohli’s undefeated century will surpass 14,000 runs in ODI and help seal the Indian place in the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy.

It took Virat Kohli to prove that he was not the force used, as the stubbornness of Indian batting produced knocks that won a match against Pakistani colonel in the ICC Champions Trophy. It proved that it was an international (ODI) century.

Kohli became the fastest batter and third man to reach 14,000 runs in ODI, then led the Indian pursuit with a six-wicket victory in Dubai on Sunday, making a record 51 in limited over format It has acquired the century.

The 36-year-old Knock stood out in the high pressure match as the former captain entered the 50-over tournament on speculation about the future of cricket.

Kohli said he shut down “noise” to compile his unbeaten 100.

“My job was obvious. It’s not about controlling in the middle over, taking risks against the spinner and playing against the pacer. I was happy with the template, that’s what I’ll play in ODI. It’s the way,” he said after the game.

“I have a decent understanding of my game. It’s about keeping the noise outside and taking care of my energy levels and thoughts. I’m drawn into expectations and enthusiasm around games like this. It’s easy.”

Pakistani skipper Mohammad Rizwan said his respect for Kohli was rocketed.

“The whole world said he was feeling unwell, but when he entered the match waiting for the world, how hard it was, he would run easily,” Lizwan said. said.

“I admire his hard work and fitness.”

India’s captain Rohit Sharma said he was not surprised by the performance his teammates won in Kohli’s match.

“Virat loves to represent the country and does what he does best. That’s what he did today. Anyone sitting in the dressing room surprised what he did. do not have.”

Kohli joined the match with 13,985 runs in 298 ODIs and surpassed 14,000 runs with a flowing punch that ran through the cover of paced bowler Harris Lauv.

He is the third man to achieve the feat after Indian icons Sachin Tendulkar (18,426) and Sri Lankan Great Kumar Sangakkara (14,234).

Kohli, who made 22 appearances in his opening victory in Bangladesh, scored 114 runs when Shreyas Ayer ran to play the goats and reached the 82nd century at the 82nd century’s victory boundary.

He took off his helmet and raised the bat to a standing ovation from the crowd who recited his name.

“I’ve never thought of Virat having a hard time running,” Iyer said.

“It’s not just the way he has over the years, but he’s always hungry for running. I remember yesterday he came almost an hour before us for a practice session. From outside. When I looked, he looked as crisp as he always saw.”

Kohli and Rohit retired from T20 International after last year’s India World Cup victory. However, they struggled to find the best form in both the test and the 50-over format due to inconsistent run scoring, and speculated that they could soon retire.

Following the bruising 3-1 Test defeat in Australia, the Indian Cricket Committee ordered contract players to feature in domestic cricket.

However, Rohit scored 3 and 28 in Mumbai’s one and two innings in the Ranji Trophy, with Kohli scoring six of the 15 balls in Delhi.

Kohli could face New Zealand next Sunday in his 300th ODI final group match since his debut in 2008.
