Israel has suffered a fire in a family in Nursham Camp, killing a Palestinian woman and seriously injured her husband.

Israeli forces expanded their attacks on the occupied West Bank, killing an eight-month pregnant woman during an assault on the Nurshamz refugee camp on Palestinian territory.

The forces fired fire at Palestinian families at the camp, killing Sondus Jamal Muhammad Sharabi and seriously injured her husband, the Palestinian Health Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

The ministry said medical teams were unable to save the 23-year-old woman’s unborn baby as Israeli forces prevented the injured couple from moving to hospital.

Palestinian WAFA news agency raided camps in the West Bank’s Talcarem area early Sunday, deploying heavy equipment and bulldozers, and raiding dozens of homes as reconnaissance planes flew at low altitudes He said he did.

Local sources told Al Jazeera Arabic that they also heard violent gunfires and loud explosions.

Previously, the Palestinian Red Crescent Association said Israeli soldiers were preventing medical teams from entering camps despite reports of victims.

Israel has imposed a curfew on the area, claiming that the operation targeted what was called “destructive activities” in the camp.

As Israeli forces continue their military operations in the occupied northern West Bank for weeks, the attacks at Nursham Camp came when they targeted Jenin, the camps in Talcarem and Faa in Tuba Province.

The attack has driven over 26,000 Palestinians of Jenin and Talcarem out of their homes in Jenin and Talcarem in the past few weeks.

Since the announcement of a ceasefire in Gaza last month, Israel has increased the frequency and intensity of attacks on the occupied West Bank.

WAFA reported that more Israeli military reinforcements are being deployed towards camps far from Hamra checkpoints as Israeli forces continue to destroy local infrastructure and private property.

A day after Israeli soldiers forced the ward off dozens of families, an assault on civilian homes and field questioning is also underway. At least eight Palestinians have been arrested in Faaa.

A report from Amman, Jordan, Al Jazeera’s Noor Ode said Israeli actions in Gaza are being repeated in the West Bank, where they are currently occupied.

“The purpose of this is described [Israeli] Military Attack [in the occupied West Bank]…It’s under the banner or pretext of fighting so-called terrorism,” she said.

“But this agenda [Israeli] The Union government included annexation of the occupied West Bank long before October 7, 2023,” Odeh added.

“So, to do that, [Israeli] The pastor reiterated that the idea that Palestinian freedom is possible should be first crushed, and that the area should be cleaned from as many Palestinians as possible, and encouraged voluntary migration. ”
