Conference Needs, the Event Industry Foundation, has resigned after serving as the maximum permit for two years, and announced changes at the top of its management structure.

He has been replaced by Vice-Chair Rene Kogan, who has served as a committee member for nine years, and has recently focused on fundraising and six years of Vice-Chair.

The changes were announced at this week’s annual showcase at Spencer House in London. This was announced when sponsors, fundraisers, advocates and beneficiaries learned about conference needs activities over the past 12 months.

Pernham said the role was “the most fulfilling and rewarding chapter of my professional life” and a powerful statement given the level of success in his career in the agency sector.

He said: “During my tenure as Chairman, we raised about £250,000, which is still given to very valuable charities and projects that often struggle to gain exposure and investment. It’s humble and inspiring, and I’m truly proud of everyone who is part of a two-year journey.”

Rene Kogan’s long nine-year contribution to conference needs will give him the opportunity to guide the foundation’s future, and Pernum will remain on the committee to support the team.

This week’s showcase shared details of recent supported projects, including:

– Support Mighty Convoy’s assistance to Ukraine by purchasing one of the vehicles that took food and medication.

– Renovating the Jafuta Foundation classroom in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe’s benefited 60 students.

– We will provide food to people suffering from dietary poverty to the people of London who are serving food with us. There are 1,000 healthy meals for meeting needs.

– Provide £4,000 to Livingston Tanzania’s trust and develop one acre of land as a school farm with the aim of growing their own food, benefiting 358 students.

-Pay happy days to provide a short break to 175 children suffering from learning difficulties, negligence and abuse.
