Family and forensic experts have confirmed that the new left handed over by Hamas belongs to the deceased Viva.

The Israeli Vivas family confirmed that the ruins of Siri Vivas had been returned by Hamas the day after the Palestinian group announced they had returned the unidentified bodies.

On Friday, Hamas announced the ruins of Vivas. The Vivas ruins threatened that a misconception in a previous handover had sparked anger in the Israeli government and derailed the vulnerable Gaza ceasefire deal.

Bibas community Kibbutz Nir Oz also confirmed her identity on Saturday hours before the seventh prisoner exchange under the ceasefire agreement.

“After the identification process at the Forensic Institute, this morning we received the news that we most feared: our Siri was murdered in captivity and now we have her son, husband, sister and her We are home to the whole family and resting,” the Vivas family said in a statement released Saturday.

Hamas has agreed to hand over the remains of Vivas and her two young sons, Kufiel and Ariel, along with the bodies of their fourth prisoners on Thursday, amid ceasefire from fighting in Gaza since last month. Ta.

Hamas said the children and mother were killed in an Israeli Air Force attack in November 2023.

Four bodies were delivered, but Israel later said that one of the bodies did not belong to the elder Viva.

On Friday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to “guarantee Hamas will pay in full” what he described as a “brief” of the ceasefire agreement.

Hamas later admitted “the possibility of errors and confusion in the body.”

Bass Naim, a member of Hamas’ Politburo, said that “unfortunate mistakes” could occur, especially as Israeli bombings mixed Israeli prisoners and Palestinian bodies.

“We will ensure that we do not belong to our values or our interests in order to uphold the contracts and agreements we sign,” he said in a statement.

Ismail al-Tawabuta, director of Hamaslan Gaza’s government’s media office, said Netanyahu “takes full responsibility for killing her and her child.”

The incident highlighted the vulnerability of a ceasefire contract that reached US support last month with the help of Qatar-Egypt mediators.

Six living prisoners are scheduled to be released on Saturday in Israeli prisons in exchange for 602 Palestinians, most of whom are in custody without charges or trial. Negotiations for the second phase of the ceasefire are expected to begin in the coming days.
