Center Parcs Conference & Events collaborated with third parties for a paper to investigate the UK’s HRS. This allowed us to gather data and information about the impact of corporate events on employees and businesses.

The survey results showed that 94% of companies agreed that work events have a positive effect on employees, and that the most profitable events occur in the natural environment. Additionally, 53% of companies claim that their employees feel more positive about their work after a corporate event. This increased to 63% when the event was held outdoors.

Similarly, 80% of businesses confirm that work events enhance employee satisfaction, while the majority of businesses (86%) increase employee satisfaction when events are held outdoors.

Center Parcs white papers showed that corporate events held outdoors can increase productivity. According to the survey, 75% of businesses believe that corporate events will improve employee productivity and will rise to 84% if these events are held in a natural environment.

Again, this paper highlights the benefits of outdoor work events for workplace conflicts. 85% of businesses believe employee relationships are improving after outdoor events. Generally 10% more than when asked about the event.

More than half of companies reported that the natural environment has proven beneficial in enabling relaxation and creativity.

Data shows that corporate events can help businesses generate additional revenue. Again, events in natural environments are better in terms of revenue. 69% of companies agree that corporate events contribute to revenue strategies, but this is 81% for outdoor events.

“We’ve got a lot of money to help you,” said Julia Green, Head of Corporate Events at Center Parcs. “Events held outdoors are especially effective at boosting morale, connecting with colleagues and driving business is not surprising to us, but it is encouraging to see this backed up by hard data.

“Center Parks has always defended the power of nature, leveraging the rich forest environments of Sherwood and Woburn venues to create relaxing and revitalizing corporate experiences that will help employees stay focused and motivated, and add tree-smoking saunas and forest gong bass.

“In addition, it has been more important than ever to bring employees together as companies are tackling a lot of additional pressures, ranging from labor markets and welfare reforms, and workers are inevitably stressed.”
