To highlight Stress Awareness Month, Center Parcs meetings and events revealed that outdoor work events are suitable for employee well-being, productivity and overall business performance compared to outdoor events.

Center Parcs has collaborated with third-party research companies to investigate UK HR decision makers and gather specialized insights into how they can impact employees and businesses alike on company away away days, sales meetings and training days.

The survey results show that while almost all (94%) companies agree that work events have a positive effect on employees, the biggest advantage comes from events held in natural environments.

Over half of companies (53%) report that employees feel more positive about their work following corporate events, but this figure reached up to 63% when considering external work events.

Similarly, this study found that a considerable number of companies (80%) already agreed that work events would improve employee satisfaction, while a higher percentage (86%) believe that work events held outdoors would enhance employee satisfaction.

Events in the natural environment have also become better at promoting productivity, with three-quarters of businesses agreeing that the event has improved productivity for workers and increased to 84% for events held in the natural environment.

The data also showed that work events are agreeing to prevent workplace conflicts and work events prevent workplace conflicts, but there are a large number of companies looking at employee relations benefits following outdoor events.

“We’ve been working hard to get the better of our business,” said Julia Green, Head of Corporate Events at Center Parcs. “Stress-aware month can easily accumulate stressors in our lives, especially for workers in acute corporate environments, leading to burnout.”
